Give a Little, Bloom a Lot
The Quick History:
My Second Bloom believes that children should have joyous holidays in December with loved ones, but sometimes the holidays aren’t great for everyone. The Adopt-A-Wishlist program is our seasonal initiative where we choose another nonprofit to partner with, and community members can ensure youth in those programs receive age-appropriate, fun, and educational gifts during the holidays.
In 2020, we sponsored 18 children’s wishlists, impacting 6 families.
In 2021, we sponsored 30 children’s wishlists, impacting 12 families.
In 2022, we sponsored 45 children’s wishlists, impacting 20 families.
In 2023, we sponsored 52 children’s wishlists, impacting 21 families.
We did not run this program in 2024.
The Gritty Details:
For 2025, we are partnering with the Methodist Children’s Home Family Outreach program. We are taking on 20 children’s wishlists, impacting 8 families. There are 6 wishlists still available.

After the Sponsor Request is complete, accepted and confirmed, we will provide you all the necessary details for you to purchase intentional, developmentally appropriate gifts for kids.
I’m a sponsor… how does it work?
1. Each child from our partner nonprofit’s program completes a Winter Wishlist worksheet detailing things they do, want, wear and need, in addition to their interest and goals.
2. Sponsors (aka YOU!) purchase items from their Wishlist and things that tailor to their interests and goals. Spend between $55-75 per child or up to 10 gifts!
3. Ensure gifts are delivered to the provided address by Sunday 12/14/2025. Gifts must be in a GIFT BAG! No wrapped boxes. We will unwrap your gifts to inspect items before delivering the gifts.
4. If selected to be a sponsor, we will share all logistics regarding receiving gifts and obtaining your tax-donation receipt. There are 4 ways you can participate!
- Shopping for gifts yourself. We will pick up gifts!
- Shop for gifts online. You can ship them to our office.
- Fulfill a recommended amazon wishlist. Sent directly to our office.
- Donate! We’ll take care of the rest.
5. We will drop gifts off to our 2025 site representatives.

If you aren’t able or interested in shopping for gifts, we thank you for donating! Sadly, sometimes we don’t get all the wishlists adopted and we end up with a child without gifts for the holidays, so we go out and get gifts for them! Your donations are a huge help in making sure our West Texas kids feel loved and have memorable holidays.
